About your Job:
As a Ground Safety Manager,
your main role is to reduce operational risks and sustain a culture that maintains the highest levels of safety, compliance, and integrity. To assure that a system of reporting, recording and investigating of all the occurrences is in place to identify the causes of the incidents and to find ways to diminish the consequences of these incidents when they occur.

Main Accountabilities

  • Act as the main investigator of airside accidents, incidents and safety deficiencies.
  • Responsible for conducting an investigation upon each hazard or occurrence to the point where all associated risks are identified.
  • Coordinates the activities of the investigation team to collect information from all the sources available to facilitate the analysis of factual information.
  • Establishes the cause of what happened, including underlying causes, in order to identify measures to prevent a recurrence.
  • Assure that necessary guidance is provided to the safety officers in responding to reported airside incidents and deviations from standard procedures and ascertain that the airfield safety operations are carried out appropriately.
  • Collate, review and safe keep daily activity reports, accident/incident/near-miss reports, fault/deficiency reports. Brief Manager Airfield Safety and Compliance daily on previous days incidents or other safety deficiencies.
  • About You:
  • You must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • You will have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in Airline operations with a safety background and job-related experience.
  • You must have attended Aerodrome Safety Management courses and other ICAO/ACI/IATA Safety training courses
  • You must hold certification and proficiency in aeronautical radio communication.
  • You should have attended safety courses focused on occurrence reporting and investigation.
