Job Purpose and Summary

Optimise (cost effectively) the technical performance of the assigned MIF thus creating customer satisfaction and retention

  1. Provide first line trouble shooting (root cause of problems) on the vast majority of machines within their portfolio
  2. Achieve a high first time fix rate and minimum recalls with the most cost effective use of labor time and parts
  3. Provide customer product instruction and training
  4. Report on a visit-by-visit basis about labor and parts investment, counter-reading and Symptom Cause Action (SCA) coding
  5. Contribute to opportunities to improve maintenance and repair practices and modifications in the machine
  6. Optimize the car-stock inventory and rotation and balance this against return to fit (RTF) visits
  7. Signal commercial opportunities to the sales and Marketing department
  8. Make frequent contributions to the ongoing development of the team and overall service performance
  9. Report on a visit-by-visit basis about labor and parts investment done via Field Mobile (Oracle Module)

  • Qualification in Engineering: electronics, mechanics (essential)
  • Relevant experience in the service industry (essential)
  • Experience in understanding and following health and safety guidelines
  • Experience in Canon/Office Automation products

  • High technical aptitude with excellent fault finding skills
  • Good customer handling and communication skills. Able to give customer instruction
  • Team player that focuses on optimizing the team output
  • Good commercial insight to signal relevant events and opportunities
